May 24, 2020
See how ⭐ FREE INSTALL DreamWeaver on Linux OpenSUSE distro ✅ in an efficient and EASY and QUICK way.

In this tutorial, I will teach you how to install the famous DreamWeaver CS3 program on your GNU / Linux distribution OpenSUSE. ENTERS!

WE START:

A while ago, I needed to install Dreamweaver CS3 on GNU / Linux, and found enough "guides" to Ubuntu that I did not get to check if they worked, at that time I wanted to do it in OpenSUSE and I had done it, so I'm going to dust off that old Topic and tell you about it.

I had done it with WINE 1.1.2 but it should work with some older versions, not to mention the newer ones… to install WINE we do the following:

sudo zypper install wine

Another thing is that we need to have one copy installed in some Windows first, we could install it in a virtual machine temporarily, as was my case.

We must activate this installation in Windows, I think this is left to the end user's awareness, if a patch is applied or the license is purchased and used on their favorite operating system.

IMPORTANT
You must have DreamWeaver installed on your PC. You can buy it from here.

DreamWeaver CS3 Installation Steps on OpenSUSE

If we want to do this, we must first open the «regedit.exe»From Windows and export the key, and store them in a file called«dreamweaver.reg«:

"HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE / Software / Adobe"

After the above, we now run on our terminal by OpenSUSE:

sudo zypper install recode

Once the above is finished, we copy the exported registry to our Linux and in the same PATH from a terminal we recode the file to ASCII, as follows:

recode ucs-2..ascii dreamweaver.reg

Then we add the new registration to the WINE registry:

wine regedit dreamweaver.reg

Then, we must copy the following files as follows:

C: \ Program Files. We copy the folder 'Adobe' with all its content in /home/username/.wine/drive_c/Program Files
C: \ Documents and Settings \ Windows_user_name \ Application data We copy the "Adobe" folder with all its content in: /home/username/.wine/drive_c/windows/profiles/All Users / Program data
C: \ Program Files \ Common Files Copy the "Adobe" folder with all its contents in: /home/username/.wine/drive_c/Program Files / Common Files
C: \ WINDOWS \ system32 We copy the "Macromed" folder with all its contents in: /home/username/.wine/drive_c/windows/system32
C: \ WINDOWS We copy the "WinSxS" folder with all its contents in: /home/username/.wine/drive_c/windows

After performing all the steps listed above, we move to the executable's PATH:

cd .wine / drive_c / Program \ Files / Adobe / Adobe \ Dreamweaver \ CS3 /

Finally, we lift the application:

wine dreamweaver.exe
