Free programming, technology, engineering and science courses, by the Polytechnic University of Valencia

March 5, 2018

In this post you will find many courses related to technology, engineering and science, taught by the Polytechnic University of Valencia. ENTERS!

WE START:

In January 2013, the Universitat Politècnica de València, through a MOOC initiative, began offering a series of free courses for anyone to enjoy.

The acronym MOOC comes from English: Massive Online Open Course (which can be translated as Massive Open Online Course). They are used to name a global movement for free education that has joined the best universities in the world.

At the end of the MOOC there is a final exam that allows evaluating if the knowledge has been consolidated. These MOOCs also have a discussion forum where you can ask questions about the course content.

In this case, the UPV initiative is called UPV [X], and is based on a platform MOOC accessible at upvx.es, where you can find very diverse courses, from leveling courses in mathematics, physics and chemistry to start studying engineering with a good foundation; to courses in optical diffraction grating, to general skills courses such as Excel or searching the Internet.

With UPV [X] MOOCs you can learn at your own pace and support yourself in the learning community. Our courses are structured in modules and these, in turn, in lessons based on a video of approximately 6 minutes, and a reinforcement question. In addition, there is an exam that helps to check your progress and that counts is part of the final grade.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Many of the courses contained here have expired and their link has been removed because they are no longer available.
